Designer: Aside from Adesso, I’m not really a follower of designers. But I know what I love. Linen, silk, cashmere, with an international, sophisticated, bohemian style. I suppose if any designers come to mind, they would be Ana Sui (for pattern and flow), Max Azria (for long, simple beautiful dresses–think Angelina), and Versace (I have a secret wish to own a vintage Versace gown). I also love clothing by Calypso, Billy Blues, Dosa, and Anokhi.
Piece of clothing: Long cashmere sweater by Jules Allen
Locale: a verandah with a view, preferably with Moroccan tile and lit lanterns, and a beautiful table surrounded by friends from all over the world.

Which accessory do you never leave home without? a Pashmina or my favorite wool shawl sent to me by a friend from New Zealand. And, of course, a camera.

What words or phrases do you most overuse? connection and beauty (which doesn’t seem like such a bad thing…)
What quality do you most admire about a person? Transparency.
What was the best advice you were ever given? To let the beauty of what we love guide our paths, is the highest, most spiritual work, we can do.
What 5 places are a must visit in your hood + why?:
Butterfly Beach: for a view of the islands, gentle waves, and pure relaxation.

Montecito's gorgeous Butterfly Beach
Cold Springs hiking trail: for the sights and smells of California chaparral at its best. Live oaks and sage, wildflowers and running water. What could be better?
Saturday Farmer’s Market: for an absolute feast for all the senses. Color, music, taste, happy people. Fabulous.
Lotus Land: for a walk through time and glorious landscape. Truly a magic place that just has to be experienced to be understood.
San Ysidro Ranch: because after all that exploring, a glass of wine and fine local dining (fireside or on the patio) is totally in order. If you can spend the night in one of the gorgeous cottages, even better.
